Le parole per dirlo: il discorso online sulla violenza di genere tra le nuove generazioni
Keywords:
Gender-based violence, narcissism, social networksAbstract
Contemporary technologies and emerging forms of communication offer platforms and mechanisms for the circulation of discussions and reflections on women’s rights, at times challenging gender inequalities and at others reinforcing them. This study aims to explore, without claims of exhaustiveness and with an awareness of the inherent limitations of the findings, how younger generations articulate and construct the discourse surrounding gender-based violence. It examines the vocabulary and concepts they employ to define this issue, as well as the shifts that have influenced prevalent relational models. By analyzing online narratives and discourses, this contribution seeks to provide tools that may inform effective and efficient policies and campaigns aimed at countering gender-based violence, particularly with regard to younger audiences.
